Walter E. (Gene) Henderson

President & Executive Director

Dr. Gene Henderson is a retired Baptist pastor, having served seven churches over a career of 56 years. He currently serves as Interim Pastor for a local church. Gene has been involved in community ministries for many years, serving as Executive Director for Transformation Jackson, a ministry in Jackson devoted to facilitating ministry organizations in Jackson, MS. He is now one of the founders of MORE, Inc.

Dr. Henderson is a graduate of Mississippi College, and holds two degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Th. M. in 1970 and Th.D. in 1976. He has served as President of the Mississippi Baptist Convention and in numerous other roles in the Mississippi Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention.

Married to Dorothy Brown Henderson for 57 years, he is father of five, grandfather of 17 and great- grandfather of 7. Gene and Dorothy served First Baptist Church Brandon for 20 years and continue to live in Brandon. They are members of Pinelake Church, where their son, Chip Henderson, serves as pastor.

Rick Looser

Rick is President and COO of The Cirlot Agency, a Mississippi-based, full-service, marketing, public relations and corporate communications firm, representing accounts on a national and international basis ranging from Fortune 100 companies to some of the world’s largest privately held corporations.

Recognized as one of the top PR professionals in the country, Rick has worked for a virtual Who’s Who of business and industry, including Northrop Grumman, ATK, Raytheon, Sherwin Williams, Boeing, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Sanderson Farms, among others. Rick was also the lead communications strategist for the competition to win one of the largest defense contracts ever awarded by the U.S. Navy, the DDG 1000 program, a $30 billion contract.

A graduate of The University of Alabama, Rick was named the Outstanding Alumnus in Public Relations for the University of Alabama’s College of Communication in 2003. In 2013, Rick was chosen as the Bert Bank Distinguished Service Award recipient – one of the top honors bestowed by The University of Alabama’s College of Communication and Information Sciences. He has also been an adjunct professor at the University since 2012, teaching the Capstone course, Public Relations Campaigns.

Rick is married to Liza Cirlot Looser, founder of The Cirlot Agency, where they have worked together for the last 30 years. They have two children, Reagan and Tripp. Rick and Liza have been members of Pinelake Church for 29 years.
